How Did I Get Here?

This is what I have been eating . . .

sleeping . . .

breathing . . . 

dreaming . . . 

as I register athletes,
 review volunteer schedules,
 oversee team pictures,
shop for concessions,
 order uniforms,
 pay refs,
 and many more et ceteras.

And I wonder . . . 

how did this happen

to the girl

who never watched sports in her life

and only was a cheerleader for something fun to do

and who loved nothing more as a child

than to sit in a flowery field

and read books
